Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Store Director, the Assistant Store Director of Operations is tasked with supporting the execution of operational objectives within the store. This role focuses on optimizing back-of-house operations to enhance efficiency and meet performance targets. The Assistant Store Director will actively mentor their team to achieve the productivity goals outlined in the labor standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the achievement of sales, controllable profit, EBITDA, payroll management, and P&L performance.
  • Manage the planning, timelines, budget, and communication of all essential operational processes.
  • Organize the stockroom, including merchandise setup, equipment, supplies, and technology.
  • Ensure the effective execution of all inbound and outbound freight processes, maintaining inventory integrity.
  • Address maintenance and repair issues related to store facilities.
  • Develop and nurture direct reports, preparing them for increased responsibilities and fostering a pipeline of internal talent for critical roles.
  • Participate in and support training initiatives for new company programs, procedures, and technologies.
  • Consistently model and coach behaviors that exceed key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • College Associate diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of management experience in a comparable retail environment with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated sales success and results-oriented approach.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of the fashion industry and a passion for sharing expertise.
  • Ability to act decisively in routine situations, ensuring positive outcomes for customers.
  • Competence in operating equipment such as radios, POS systems, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

The compensation for this position is anticipated to range between 55,000 CAD and 65,000 CAD per year, with variations based on individual factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include various benefits, including medical, financial, and paid time off, depending on the position offered.
