We are seeking a skilled Automation Testing Engineer to enhance our Canadian Banking applications team within Scotia Digital. This role involves designing and developing test automation scripts for both new and existing software applications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated testing scripts using established test automation frameworks.
  • Participate in manual testing processes alongside automated testing efforts.
  • Identify and analyze test scenarios suitable for automation.
  • Deliver automation scripts efficiently within an Agile framework, adhering to best practices.
  • Continuously enhance automated testing methodologies to optimize test coverage across enterprise products.

Qualifications:

  • Over 6 years of experience in Test Automation with a focus on Selenium-Java.
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining BDD/TDD frameworks using tools like Cucumber, Maven, and TestNG.
  • Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as WebdriverIO, REST Assured, and Mocha.
  • Hands-on experience with web-based applications and API web services.
  • Proficient in using tools like SOAP UI and Postman.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, including Git and Bitbucket.
  • Competence in writing SQL and NoSQL queries.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Xray, and HP ALM for test management.
  • In-depth knowledge of QA processes and experience in preparing testing artifacts such as test plans and status reports.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and adaptability to evolving environments.
  • Previous experience in major Canadian banks or financial institutions is an asset, particularly in web banking systems.
  • A background in computer engineering is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
