We invite you to join our team as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer if you are enthusiastic about testing scalable web services and RESTful APIs, and possess experience with AWS and Kafka. With a minimum of 3 years of practical experience, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining both Automation and Manual Test Suites, ensuring the robustness and reliability of our technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for our backend systems.
- Utilize your expertise in Java, SQL, Cloud Services, and testing methodologies to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather system requirements and formulate comprehensive test strategies for backend services.
- Implement automated test frameworks and scripts using Java, Groovy, and BDD frameworks (Spock, Cucumber).
- Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality and reliability of the backend codebase.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in backend testing, automation, and performance engineering.
- Integrate DevOps practices into testing processes to facilitate seamless integration and deployment of backend services.
- Leverage Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of containerized applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in software testing, particularly for backend systems, with a solid understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Hands-on experience in backend test automation using Java or Python.
- Experience in developing automation frameworks or enhancing existing tools/frameworks.
- Strong SQL skills (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and proficiency in database query writing and execution.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive and self-driven work ethic.
- Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration and management, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of containerized applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in backend automation testing and performance testing, ideally in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Proficiency in Java (or similar) programming languages and experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG or Spock.
- Strong background in backend technologies such as RESTful APIs, SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), and server-side frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience testing backend services deployed on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies such as Kubernetes, S3, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, IAM, etc., is a plus.
- Experience with various distributed system components (e.g., Kafka, Redis, Elastic Search, or similar NoSQL products) is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge and experience with the Linux operating system is a plus.
