Senior Applications Architect

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Pay Range: C$ /hr

Essential Qualifications:
  • Extensive expertise in Enterprise architecture, encompassing general and sector-specific data modeling standards, various data types, process and object modeling, application frameworks, database technologies, data warehousing, knowledge management, and data security management. This expertise is crucial for guiding the formulation of policies, standards, and strategic plans, while advising clients on the management, safeguarding, recovery, and integrity of data.
  • Proficient understanding and experience in the OPS Enterprise Architecture end-to-end process, serving both as a Solution Architect and Change Application Architect.
  • Significant experience in crafting high-quality Enterprise Architecture governance artifacts, collaborating with key stakeholders to address governance body concerns and mitigate potential risks, including Threat and Risk Assessment (TRA) and Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects in governance activities, including but not limited to Threat and Risk Assessment (TRA), Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), and Penetration Testing, while successfully securing Architecture Governance Point approvals.
  • Technical proficiency and experience in Microsoft Power Platform-based business solutions, utilizing Model Driven Application development, Power Automate, Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, Azure AD, Microsoft Azure Storage, Microsoft Azure DevOps, and other Azure technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to consult and clarify requirements, present information, options, and recommendations, and explain technical concepts and architecture-related topics to peers, clients, and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with object-oriented analysis and design methodologies.
  • Experience in generating enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g., models) aligned with Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture methodologies, processes, and practices.
  • Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  • Experience in defining detailed functional and technical requirements for both new and existing business solutions.
  • Experience in producing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g., models and documentation).
  • Experience in leading multi-tier application infrastructure design, documentation, and configuration for medium to large corporate implementations.
  • Experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining large complex applications, workflow processes, and dynamic forms, including the use of microservices design and AI.

  • Ability to influence testing strategies and guide automation efforts.

  • Promote industry standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) standards.
  • Experience in microservices and agile frameworks like Scrum.
