FNHA Overview

About Us
The First Nations Health Authority is a pioneering health organization dedicated to serving the diverse needs of BC First Nations communities. Our mission is to enhance health outcomes through culturally appropriate and community-driven initiatives.

The First Nations-led Primary Care Initiative (FNPCI) is designed to enhance access to primary health-care services for First Nations individuals across British Columbia, ensuring care is culturally safe and accessible. This initiative is integral to the Province's strategy to transform primary care delivery through the establishment of collaborative care networks.

To effectively address the health and wellness needs of First Nations people, it is crucial that primary care services are informed by Indigenous perspectives and practices. A key goal of the FNPCI is to establish new First Nations Primary Health Care Centres in both rural and urban settings, providing quality care that respects and integrates Indigenous ways of knowing.

The All Nations Healing House is a newly established primary care centre aimed at improving access to culturally safe health services for First Nations individuals and families. A multidisciplinary team of health professionals will collaborate to deliver care that is rooted in local Indigenous traditions and wellness practices.
