About the Role
The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a contract position. As a primary care provider, you will be responsible for delivering culturally safe and effective healthcare services to First Nations people and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice with cultural humility to provide primary care in a team-based environment that recognizes the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of clients and their families.
- Comply with policies and procedures of acceptable BC health and wellness regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement care plans that address the unique needs of First Nations people and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner (Family) from an accredited institution.
- Active practicing license in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Training in Cultural Safety & Humility or willingness to take this training.
- Experience working with First Nations people and communities, providing culturally safe care.
