About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Annual Giving Student Leader. This role is responsible for coordinating and implementing personal solicitation and stewardship outreach to SAIT alumni, donors, friends, and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fundraising (70%)
  • Build rapport with alumni and donors through phone calls, emails, and text messages to acquire gifts for priority funds.
  • Establish an open and engaging line of communication between SAIT and its alumni, serving as a SAIT ambassador.
  • Demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette and engage individuals in conversations.
  • Gain an understanding of priority funds, special events, and SAIT's annual needs for financial support.
  • Use digital solicitation tools to connect with donors and record data on performed touch-points.
  • Coordinate activities with fellow Annual Giving Team members and respond to donor inquiries.
  • Student Philanthropy and Crowdfunding (5%)
  • Engage SAIT students in fundraising activities as advocates and donors.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to grow student philanthropy on campus.
  • Stewardship (5%)
  • Conduct thank-you phone calls, text messages, and emails to thank donors for their contributions.
  • Record and send ThankView videos and sign post-cards.
  • Data Entry (20%)
  • Record and receive incoming donations, personal information changes, and document daily progress.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Current SAIT student.
  • One year of experience in fundraising, direct response, or customer service.
  • Preferred experience in soliciting philanthropic gifts, familiarity with fundraising database systems, and spreadsheet applications.
Skills Required
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and virtual.
  • Articulate writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility, discretion, and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Positive attitude, excellent etiquette and manners, and a clear speaking voice.
