Job Summary

The Program Secretary will provide administrative support to the Women's and Children's Health portfolio at Hamilton Health Sciences. This role will work closely with a dynamic leadership and administrative team in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to engage in a wide variety of exciting projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Complex Care Outpatient Program, Children's Palliative Services, and the Child and Family Patient Engagement portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the leadership and administrative team to develop and implement administrative systems and processes.
  • Develop and maintain databases and generate reports from these databases.
  • Provide transcription and minute-taking services.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Community College Business Secretarial Program or equivalent.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills (60 wpm).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet project and task deadlines.
