Job Title: French as a Second Language Teacher

Job Summary:

The Durham Catholic District School Board is seeking a qualified French as a Second Language Teacher to join our team. As a French as a Second Language Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching French language and culture to students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French language and culture to students in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language instruction

Requirements:

  • Certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Primary/Junior and/or Junior/Intermediate Basic Qualifications
  • French as a Second Language Part 1 Required
