We are seeking qualified educators to join our team as French Language Educators at the Durham Catholic District School Board.

Job Summary:

We are looking for dedicated and passionate educators to teach French as a Second Language in our elementary schools. As a French Language Educator, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the development of students' language skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach French as a Second Language to elementary students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Certification in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Primary/Junior and/or Junior/Intermediate Basic qualifications
  • Native-like fluency in French is required for French Immersion positions
  • French as a Second Language, Part 1 qualification is required (actively pursuing this qualification is acceptable)
