Teach French with Passion and Enthusiasm

We are seeking a qualified French teacher to join our team at Durham Catholic District School Board. As a French teacher, you will be responsible for teaching French as a second language to students in elementary and secondary schools.

Requirements:

  • Certification by the Ontario College of Teachers (in good standing)
  • New graduates pending OCT certification welcome to apply
  • Native-like fluency in French (for French Immersion opportunities)
  • French as a Second Language, Part 1 or equivalent

Our French Programs:

We offer a range of French programs, including Early French Immersion (Grade 1) and Secondary French Immersion. Our programs are designed to provide students with a high-quality French education and to promote a love of learning.

Interview Process:

Our interview process is designed to assess your native-like fluency in French and your ability to teach French as a second language. The process includes a brief oral scenario and a series of questions based on Catholic teacher pedagogy.
