About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter Specialist to join our team at PRECISION LASER CUT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal fabrication and welding services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Operate and maintain manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to ensure efficient and safe production.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and precise fabrication.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications to maintain the highest quality of work.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal to precise specifications.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to fabricate metal components.
  • Fabricate, braze, and torch-straighten metal to meet the required specifications.
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC) to cut and shape metal efficiently.
  • Determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move and position metal components safely.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and physically demanding conditions.
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination to ensure accurate and precise fabrication.
  • Ability to work with steel, iron, and heavy metals to meet the required specifications.
