Position Overview
The Clinical Research Institute of Montreal is inviting applications for the role of Research Associate within the Neural Circuit Development team, under the guidance of Dr. Artur Kania.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate scientific questions, design experiments, and execute research to validate these inquiries.
- Collaborate on the preparation of grant applications for various research initiatives.
- Draft scientific papers to disseminate research findings.
- Initiate and develop innovative research projects in partnership with the Research Unit Director.
Essential Qualifications
- Ph.D. in neuroscience or a closely related discipline.
- Proven track record of scientific excellence demonstrated through high-quality publications.
- Extensive experience and proficiency in fields such as developmental biology, molecular neurobiology, and genetics.
- In-depth technical expertise in methodologies including immunohistochemistry, RNAscope technology, and neuroanatomy.
- Must possess Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
Employment Details
- This is a full-time temporary position for a duration of two years.
- Participation in the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (RREGOP).
- Access to life and health insurance benefits.
- Generous leave policy including 13 paid holidays and 10 sick days annually.
- 20 vacation days granted after completing one year of service.
