Operations Supervisor Job Description

At Metro Supply Chain, we are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, picking, loading, safety, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient and effective management of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, and shipping.
  • Coordinate with 3rd-party loading services to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
  • Develop and maintain proper practices and methods to ensure compliance with Metro Supply Chain and client standards.
  • Train and supervise warehouse personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Lead inventory processing to ensure product availability for timely customer shipments and compliance with lead time goals.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient documentation of all inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics activities.
  • Maintain targets, objectives, and goals throughout the warehouse and driver return process.
  • Implement and supervise safe practices to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership position with proven success.
  • College diploma in Business Management or 3+ years of relevant experience in the Supply Chain/Distribution/Transportation industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and leadership.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
