We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at CB Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll effectively and efficiently, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including employee deductions and other liabilities.
- Manage payroll information requests and questions from employees and management.
- Collect and analyze information to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Manage payroll records, including tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and job title and department/division transfers.
- Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments.
- Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for department heads.
- Less than one year of experience is acceptable.
- Certified Payroll detail-oriented designation preferred.
- Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why".
- Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
- Experience with high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
- Solid understanding of Coding Invoices.
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements.
- Previous experience using accounting software.
- Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen.
- Mastery of internal controls.
- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.
