Payroll Specialist Job Description

As a Payroll Specialist at Paladin Airport Security Services Ltd., you will be part of a collaborative Payroll and Benefits team. This role demands a results-oriented and detail-focused individual who excels in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and apply principles of collective agreements to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of payroll practices and CRA legislation to maintain compliance.
  • Develop advanced computer proficiency in payroll software and Excel to streamline processes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management through excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Support and deputize for management as needed, participating in process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a unionized and/or federally regulated environment.
  • Strong computer proficiency in payroll software and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
