About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced communications professional to join our team at the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association. As a Strategic Communications Associate and External Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the creation and execution of corporate integrated projects, both internally and externally.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Associate Engagement and External Engagement Lead and will work closely with the corporate affairs team and cross-functional teams to drive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement communications strategies that align with the company's ecosystem mindset.
  • Ensure the execution of data-driven projects and insights generation to inform corporate positioning and messaging for both internal and external audiences.
  • Support the lead on issue management and crisis communications.
  • Manage relationships with PR agencies and external vendors to optimize return on investment and business impact.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy and lead key internal and external events.
  • Oversee the management of corporate communications channels, including the corporate website and intranet.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent; 8-10 years of experience in Communications.
  • Strong data fluency and ability to anticipate and identify communication trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including narrative writing and content development.
  • Strong collaborative attitude and ability to manage complex projects in cross-functional teams.
  • Resilience and agility, with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual: English and French an asset.
  • Experience with the Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSM) framework.

Language Skills:

  • English.
  • French is an asset.
