Grocery Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk Supervisor to join our team at Asian G Mart. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our grocery department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our grocery staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Assign sales workers to duties, ensuring that they are working in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
- Hire and Train Staff: Hire and train new staff members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties effectively.
- Authorize Payments and Merchandise: Authorize payments by cheque and order merchandise, ensuring that our store is well-stocked and that our customers have access to the products they need.
- Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for our grocery staff, ensuring that they are working in a way that meets the needs of our customers and our store.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, ensuring that our management team has the information they need to make informed decisions.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
- Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store environment.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, judgement, ability to multitask.
