About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Mining Team in Brampton, Sudbury, North Bay, Thompson, St John, or Thunder Bay office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for mining projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement electrical designs for mining projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop design concepts and ensure proper application and execution.
  3. Verify designer's work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
  4. Apply EXP's risk management practices in electrical engineering to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  5. Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  6. Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination, utilizing advanced engineering concepts and problem-solving skills.
  7. Contribute to revisions of EXP's design standards and master specifications, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  8. Evaluate Value Engineering (cost-cutting) items with respect to our level of risk, ensuring optimal project outcomes.
  9. Edit and develop the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  10. Develop electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, and other critical design documents.
  11. Participate in HAZOP, PHA, and safety reviews, ensuring a safe working environment for all stakeholders.
What We're Looking For

We require a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University, EIT or Registered status, and at least 3 years of experience in the mining or industrial industry.
