About the Role

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled Document Control Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our document control system, creating and maintaining project distribution matrices, and providing training and support to project team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the document control system, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of documents.
  • Create and distribute project distribution matrices, ensuring all stakeholders have access to relevant information.
  • Provide training and support to project team members on document control best practices.
  • Identify and escalate system issues to the Project Controls or Document Control Manager in a timely manner.
  • Continuously improve document control processes and identify opportunities for new software solutions.
Reporting and Documentation
  • Assist in creating and implementing reporting systems to track critical project documentation.
  • Develop and maintain reports in EDMS systems, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Prepare end-of-project reports, summarizing key documentation and milestones.
  • Coordinate the receipt, capture, control, and access of all project documents.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of document control experience in a construction project/site environment.
  • Proficient in electronic document management and document control systems, as well as processing design and vendor documentation.
  • Familiarity with EDMS systems such as Sharepoint and Procore is an asset.
