Mukima Logistics Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Perform other routine maintenance
Requirements:
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Diesel engine repair specialization
  • Powered equipment repair specialization
  • Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a non-smoking, noisy environment.
