Role Summary:

Under the guidance of the Service Supervisor, the Service Support Specialist will assist the Service Technician in various tasks at both commercial and residential sites, as well as within the branch. This position serves as a strong foundation for a career in the propane and fuel service sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the loading of propane and/or fuel tanks onto vehicles, either manually or with the aid of a mobile crane alongside a team member.
  • Assisting in the setup of propane tanks.
  • Excavating trenches by hand or utilizing a trencher.
  • Helping Service Technicians with various installation tasks, adhering to industry standards.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
  • Achieving certifications for minor tasks (training will be provided).

Qualifications:

  • Must be physically fit to climb onto flatbed vehicles.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn to operate small machinery.
  • Able to frequently lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong emphasis on safe working practices is essential.
  • A willingness to learn and an interest in obtaining a gas license is advantageous.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including the possibility of overtime, is necessary.
