Job Summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd is seeking a skilled Foreman to lead our Ottawa Construction & Forestry Service Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the daily organization and dispatch of technicians, ensuring quality repair work and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Supervise and mentor service technicians to ensure high-quality work and adherence to company standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting a safe and healthy workspace
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to identify training needs and develop strategies for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and other branch personnel to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department, making informed decisions to drive business growth
Requirements
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset
  • Certified Journeyman in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade required
  • Experience in a service department setting required
  • Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products preferred
  • Forklift license preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and basic Microsoft Office skills required
  • Candidates must be willing to be available after-hours and able to lift up to 50 pounds
