Foreman - Heavy Equipment Supervisor

**Job Summary**

Brandt Tractor Ltd is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Foreman, reporting to our Construction & Forestry location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and dispatch of technicians, ensuring exceptional repair work quality, and providing expert guidance to the Service Manager on technician skills and training needs.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Organizational Leadership**: Oversee the organization of work performed and maintain quality control standards.
  • **Team Supervision**: Supervise and mentor service technicians to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • **Work Environment**: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • **Customer Service**: Foster a commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • **Communication**: Effectively communicate with customers, service team members, and other branch personnel.
  • **Scheduling**: Establish and maintain an on-call field schedule.
  • **Cost Management**: Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department.
  • **Work Order Management**: Open and close work orders, prepare work orders for warranty.
  • **Additional Duties**: Perform other duties as required to support the team.

**Required Skills**

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

**Required Experience**

  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset.
  • Certified Journeyman in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade required.
  • Experience in a service department setting required.
  • Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products preferred.
  • Forklift license preferred.
