Job Summary:

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and maintain patient records, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • BScN or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency nursing or a related field
  • Current ACLS and PALS certification
  • CTAS certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work all three shifts and weekends, as per department schedule
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed
