**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.

**Requirements:**

  • Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Current BCLS Certification.
  • Demonstrated assessment skills, enrolled in or completed Physical Assessment Course.
  • ACLS.
  • One year Emergency or Telemetry experience required.
  • Two years Med/Surg experience required.
  • Competent in IV therapy including initiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in emergency situations.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated skill and knowledge of Therapy and venipuncture is required.
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Experience in working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Demonstrated lifelong learner.
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
  • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date.
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired.

**Working Conditions:**

  • Must be available for all three shifts and weekends, as per department schedule.
