At The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Risk Oversight & Compliance team. As a key contributor to our strategic project initiatives, you'll play a vital role in enhancing our default management practices and ensuring risk management initiatives align with CPSS-IOSCO Principles for Financial Market Infrastructure (PFMI's) and internal policies/procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial risk exposures (market, credit, and liquidity) and validate other components used to manage financial risks, making recommendations to streamline current processes and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in the design of internal policies related to market, credit, and liquidity risks.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with business partners (Architecture, Operations, Legal, IT) to satisfy their needs and anticipate potential issues.
  • Provide support in risk measurement, and qualitative and quantitative analysis related to equity, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products.
  • Design and operationalize hedging strategies and procedures to manage the default of Clearing Members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial industry with a focus on capital markets and financial risk management.
  • Relevant risk management experience in equities, fixed-income, structured products, and derivatives.
  • Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight timelines without compromising the integrity of deliverables.
  • Proactive initiative and capacity to work independently.
  • Expert written and oral communication skills.
