Housekeeping Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Assistant at Surya Hygiene Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure all areas of the hospital/medical facility or clinic are clean and sanitized, including floors, furniture, and fixtures.
- Housekeeping Tasks: Perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpeting and upholstered furniture, making beds, and changing sheets.
- Supply Management: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closets, and ensure that all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Facilities Maintenance: Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and handle and report lost and found items.
- Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities.
- Security and Safety: Participate in maintaining a secure and safe environment, including adhering to protocols for handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
- Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
- Work Setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 to 44 hours per week.
