Job Summary

The Administrative Support Specialist will act as a resource to both internal and external individuals, and assist the Senior Administrative Support - Elementary in the administrative and secretarial duties of the school office under the direction of the administrator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Administrative Support - Elementary and other staff members as needed.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma.
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work as a team member.
  • Good organizational, secretarial and word processing skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Word at the Basic skill level.
  • Experience with Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PowerSchool, JDE, attendance procedures and EasyConnect.
  • First Aid, CPR and Microsoft Publisher would be an asset.
