About the Role
The Team Leader plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing community-based mental health and addiction services. This position involves coordinating the delivery of mental health assessments, treatment plans, and support for clients and their families dealing with mental health challenges throughout their lives. The Team Leader ensures that comprehensive services are provided to this specific population and fosters collaboration with local inpatient, outpatient, and community services to enhance the continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective clinical supervision and support.
- Facilitate ongoing training and mentorship for new clinicians and those with limited experience in the field.
- Collaborate with various health services and agencies to promote integrated care approaches.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for clients facing mental health and addiction issues.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancement and lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain operational guidelines, standard operating procedures, and orientation materials for staff.
- Champion client-centered decision-making and foster a culture of exceptional customer service within the team.
- Possess competencies in additional languages, with a preference for French.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work.
- Active licensure with the relevant professional body.
- A minimum of three years of experience in mental health and addiction interventions.
- Proven ability to deliver effective and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Work Schedule
- Full-Time (100%)/ 75 hours biweekly.
- Long-term assignment with potential travel to various sites.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive hourly wage along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan. Additionally, successful candidates may qualify for relocation assistance and a signing bonus under specific conditions.
