Position Overview:
As a Healthcare Security Operations Supervisor, you will oversee a committed team dedicated to protecting our healthcare environment, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and property.
We seek a licensed Security Supervisor who embodies patience, compassion, and empathy, aiming to positively influence the experiences of patients and staff. Comprehensive training will be provided, including First Aid CPR, Mental Health First Aid, Crisis Management, Effective Communication, Management of Resistant Behavior, Mental Health Awareness, and Use of Force. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to progress in the security and law enforcement fields.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in security, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging professionally with individuals across all levels.
- Possession of a valid Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR certification.
- Educational background in Police Foundations, Community Justice Services, or Law Enforcement is advantageous.
- Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of security officers, offering guidance, training, and support to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance team effectiveness and professionalism.
- Monitor surveillance, alarm, and access control systems to identify and prevent security breaches.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders to effectively manage security incidents.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential security weaknesses and devise strategies to mitigate them.
- Work in conjunction with other departments, such as facilities management and clinical services, to address security issues and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain emergency response protocols, including evacuation plans for various scenarios such as fire, active shooter, or natural disasters.
- Engage with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts as necessary.
- Act as a liaison between security personnel and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to relevant healthcare regulations, security standards, and accreditation requirements.
Compensation: $22.99 per hour
Work Schedule: Full-time nights, Continental
