Completion of a recognized nursing program is essential, accompanied by a minimum of three years of recent, relevant experience in an acute care setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must hold registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Understanding of the connections between Acute Care, Long-Term Care, Community Health, and Public Health Resources within the healthcare delivery framework is crucial.
Proficient knowledge in program development, implementation, and performance evaluation is required.
Completion of an IPAC Canada approved infection control course is mandatory or expected to be completed within six months of the commencement date.
Skills and Abilities- Exceptional communication, writing, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of contemporary clinical practices and methodologies.
- Capability to assess, organize, and analyze information effectively.
- Proven ability to introduce, implement, and evaluate new policies and procedures successfully.
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Competence in operating relevant equipment, including various software applications.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Possession of a valid BC Driver's License.
- Physically capable of fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
