Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at BC Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a nursing home setting, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations
  • Transport patients between care facilities, using wheelchairs or stretchers as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with repetitive tasks
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Availability for shift or on-call work, and the advertised start date
