Job Summary:

Lactalis Canada is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic - Millwright to join our team in our manufacturing facility in Ontario. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of all plant equipment, processes, and property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on processing equipment, high-speed packaging equipment, and ancillary equipment
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
  • Perform adjustments and repairs to production equipment as needed
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards
  • Provide information regarding job downtime, material needs, manpower, and uptime

Requirements:

  • Licensed millwright within Ontario (433 A License) or 5th term apprentice and pass the CofQ
  • Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Capability to read, interpret, and utilize blueprints and drawings
  • Working knowledge of basic maintenance management software (SAP) would be an asset

Work Schedule:

You will be working the day or night shift (6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6 am), alternating weekends, with a schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the following week. The salary will be 1.5 times the regular wage for Saturday shifts and double the regular wage for Sunday shifts.
