**Role Summary - The Technical Consultant Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within a functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Drive consistency in the processes and procedures that the technical consultant team uses to achieve impactful results, documentation, and communication. Develop tools to this end collaboratively with other leaders in technical organization and beyond.**
- **Collaborate with commercial and vertical leadership to identify and prioritize technical resources for audits and other activities. Work to ensure that recommendations are leveraged appropriately once audits and program reviews are complete.**
- **Develop and execute robust work-force plan that builds bench for the future, ties goals and objectives to overall business strategy, includes individual development plans and creates a diverse work force that represents the communities we live in.**
- **Contribute to technical training program, assign resources to support specific training activities and drive continuous improvement of the materials and outcomes.**
- **Contribute to customer relationships and communication at all levels.**
- **Productively interface with cross-functional teams as required.**

**Core Qualifications**:

- **Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Biology, or Chemistry, or in any related discipline from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a technical sales position in the Water Treatment/Water Process industry)**
- **At least 10 additional years of experience in direct technical sales (Water Treatment / Water Process Industry) or Customer Applications Engineering in the specific industry vertical as assigned.**

**Eligibility Requirements**:

- **Ability and willingness to travel within territory, as required**
- **Ability and willingness to reside in assigned region, or within customer proximity requirements, as required**
- **Work frequently in a heavy industrial environment requiring use of Personal Safety Equipment and exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other similar irritants typical of those found in refinery, chemical plants, power plants, manufacturing and /or commercial facilities, etc., as required**
- **Ability and willingness to comply with stringent drug testing and background check requirements set by customer safety requirements, as required**
- **Ability and willingness to comply with stringent customer site(s) access requirements, as required**
- **Basic Computer Skills including Google Workspace, MS Office, and other software programs within a Windows environment**

- **Demonstrated track record of technical expertise and solution development in the relevant industry vertical**
- **Able to develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels, including the CEO staff level**
- **Strategic or product marketing exposure**

- **Able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers**
