**Compensation**:
$34.19/h with overtime and shift premiums. Plus 1.5x on Saturdays and 2x on Sundays.

**Job description**

Lactalis is one of Canada’s leading producers of premium quality food products including milk, cheese, and yogurt. We are currently recruiting for a 3rd Class Engineer to join our team in our manufacturing facility in Winchester, Ontario which produces butter, cheese, powder, and margarine.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Follow safety procedures and work in a safe manner (LOTO, PPE, Guarding, etc.)
- Operation of HTST, OST’s, Alfomatic and CIP system
- Gain an understanding of PLC logic as this equipment is controlled by same
- Must gain proficiency in the cheese-making process
- Must gain proficiency in all relevant equipment i.e. foodscan, ft-1, in order to make necessary adjustments during the make procedure
- Responsible for carrying out and documenting all HACCP requirements i.e. sanitary maintenance programs
- Required to implement preventive maintenance programs on equipment
- Perform SAP transactions as required
- Take courses relevant to cheese-making
- Other duties as assigned
- Will be required to ensure all PQMS documentation filled out as required.
- Ensure all titrations completed for AOM CIP, and CIP#3
- Preventative maintenance completion.
- Housekeeping and all good manufacturing practices are completed and followed.
- Conduct Attendant and Entrant duties as needed
- Completion of secondary school (OSSD or equivalent)
- Able to safely operate mechanical devices
- Ability to quickly identify and take action in a safe manner
- Ability to safely lift up to 40lbs
- Must have previous experience in manufacturing, particularly in food industry, is an asset
- Flexible availability for all shifts
- Must be available to workdays, nights and weekends
