Job Description

Job Title: Food Service Worker

Job Summary: Aramark Canada is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the Dalhousie Food Services team as Residence Dining Hall Food Service Workers. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality food and beverage services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive quality, courteous service, and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present food and beverages in accordance with Aramark's quality standards, using proper portion control and presentation techniques.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Aramark's cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals, and communicate effectively with supervisors and management.
  • Inventory Management: Properly store and manage inventory, including food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all Aramark policies and procedures, including occupational health and safety and food safety guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in the restaurant or food service industry is considered an asset.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with supervisors and management.
  • Flexibility: Must be flexible, as evening and weekend work is required.
