Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Chisholm Services for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and youth in our care.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Child and Youth Worker to work with children and youth in a group home setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily care and support to our clients, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and supervising activities. You will also be responsible for implementing life skills workshops, assessing client needs, and developing individualized plans to support their growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care and support to children and youth in a group home setting
  • Prepare and serve meals, and maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Supervise activities and ensure the safety and well-being of clients
  • Implement life skills workshops and provide guidance and support to clients
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to support their growth and development
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, child and youth care)
  • Experience working with children and youth in a group home setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform duties required in a group home setting
