Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Chisholm Services for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of children and youth in our care.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Child and Youth Worker to provide support and guidance to children and youth in our group homes and community programs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in child and youth care, with experience in providing individual and group counseling, life skills training, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling to children and youth, addressing their emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
  • Develop and implement life skills training programs to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, and personal care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to children and youth in times of need.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, teachers, and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for children and youth.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and youth in a group home or community program setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child and youth development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
