About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Plant Process Technician to join our team at 1823 Consulting Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Water Treatment Systems: Ensure the efficient operation of disinfection, oxidation, and pumping systems to produce high-quality water.
  • Monitor and Analyze Water Quality: Conduct regular water and sludge sampling, and analyze test results to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Inspect and maintain plant equipment, including pumps, motors, filters, and chlorinators, to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Respond to Customer Complaints: Address customer concerns regarding water quality issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Transport and Handle Chemicals: Safely transport and mix chemicals, and operate equipment used to unload chemicals.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in water treatment plant operations, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Environment: Confined spaces, hot, noisy, odours, outdoors.
  • Work Setting: Mining company, mining industry.
