We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Care Worker to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and feeding, and assist with mobility and transfers.
- Participate in psychosocial rehabilitation activities, including group and individual sessions, to promote patient well-being and independence.
- Monitor patient safety and report any concerns or incidents to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient transportation and provide support during off-site appointments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Grade ten plus graduation from a recognized Mental Health Care Worker program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively and maintain a safe and secure environment.
