Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Ethicist to join our team. As a key member of our Ethics Services department, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's vision, values, and purpose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and facilitate ethics consultations to address complex ethical issues in patient care.
  • Provide ethics support within the clinical environment, including attending ethics huddles, rounds, and patient care meetings.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs to build capacity and advance ethical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other Ethicists and FHES team members to meet departmental objectives.
  • Represent Fraser Health and Ethics Services at various events and forums.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a doctoral degree in Ethics, Philosophy, or Moral Theology, or a terminal degree in a vocation related to bioethics. A clinical ethics fellowship or internship is an asset. You will also need documented experience providing clinical ethics consultation in a complex healthcare environment.

Competencies

You will demonstrate the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework, including clear, caring, and courageous leadership. You will also possess high-quality understanding of principle-based, contextual, and other contemporary ethics approaches.
