Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Ethicist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support on ethical matters, ensuring that our organization's values and principles are upheld.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and facilitate ethics consultations to address complex ethical issues and promote ethical decision-making.
  • Provide ethics support and guidance to clinical teams, including attending ethics huddles, rounds, and patient care meetings.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs to build capacity and advance ethical decision-making within the organization.
  • Collaborate with other ethics professionals and stakeholders to meet departmental objectives and advance the field of bioethics.
  • Represent Fraser Health at various events and forums, promoting our organization's commitment to ethics and quality care.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in ethics, philosophy, or moral theology, or a terminal degree in a related field.
  • Master's level degree in bioethics or a related field.
  • Documented experience providing clinical ethics consultation in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate related equipment and software.
