Position Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager at Coach showcases exceptional business insight, driving sales performance through effective employee development and mentorship. This role requires a strategic mindset to enhance operational efficiency while upholding Coach's standards and competencies. The Assistant Store Manager is a versatile team player, capable of adapting to various roles within the store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Visual Merchandising:

  • Ensure customer-centric focus and service on the sales floor by maintaining visual and product management standards.
  • Maximize productivity and profitability through effective organizational skills and timely task completion.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and manage visual presentation and brand standards.
  • Conduct weekly staff scheduling.

Sales Management:

  • Align decisions with organizational objectives in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Develop and communicate sales strategies and initiatives to the team, tracking performance consistently.
  • Foster client relationships and implement clienteling strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, driving loyalty through community engagement.

Operational Excellence:

  • Evaluate team performance and provide timely feedback to support continuous development.
  • Ensure adherence to retail policies and procedures, including POS and operational standards.
  • Recruit and onboard top talent, collaborating with the Store Manager to maintain a strong talent pool.
  • Manage daily operational tasks in line with Coach standards, including payroll and loss prevention.

Qualifications:
Experience: 1 to 3 years of management experience in a luxury retail environment is preferred. A solid understanding of fashion trends and market competition is essential.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with retail systems.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving products.

Schedule Flexibility:
Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays during peak retail periods.
