Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Butcher - Wholesale Specialist to join our team at Toronto Halal Meat Incorporation. As a key member of our meat processing and packing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of halal meat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Processing: Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for further processing or cutting.
  • Meat Preparation: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, and wrap and package prepared meats.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all meat products meet the highest standards of quality and halal certification.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers to maintain a high level of productivity and quality.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate band saws, manual cutting utensils, power grinders, and slicing machines to process meat products.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a meat processing and packing environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
