Job Title: Wholesale Butcher

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wholesale Butcher to join our team at Toronto Halal Meat Incorporation. As a Wholesale Butcher, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meat for wholesale distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts
  • Price meat products
  • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
  • Grind meats
  • Train meat cutters
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
  • Prepare special orders
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically demanding
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Hand-eye coordination
