Job Overview

Aramark Canada is seeking a Facilities Support Manager with a solid background in Food Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance Services. This role is pivotal in managing operations within a Healthcare Facility.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Facilities Support Manager will oversee the food and facilities contract at the location, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to standards set by Aramark, regulatory bodies, and the client. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities


• Cultivating and sustaining effective collaborations with various departments to deliver a cohesive food service experience for residents, visitors, and staff.

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety regulations.

• Engaging with Client Management to maintain robust client and customer relations across all levels of the organization, including conducting regular check-ins. Identifying opportunities for Aramark service enhancements.

• Providing strategic direction and managing performance for all Supervisors and frontline staff, focusing on employee development, engagement, and adherence to human resource policies.

• Leading, staffing, and training the food service department on food presentation, quality control, cost management, and cash handling practices.

• Developing operational forecasts and explaining variances. Responsible for the accounting functions related to the component.

• Overseeing ordering, inventory management, menu development, and production planning.

• Maintaining and verifying employee work schedules through web-based payroll systems.

• Assisting the Food Service Supervisor with ordering, inventory management, menu development, and production planning.

• Monitoring and verifying accounting documentation through online systems.

• Adhering to union seniority and scheduling standards and policies.

• Following financial projections closely.

• Developing and nurturing a strong leadership team.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field is preferred.

Membership in CSNM is mandatory.

• Basic housekeeping experience or comprehensive EVS experience is advantageous.

• Proficiency in menu management, budget balancing, and operating within assigned financial parameters.

• A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in managing operations with financial and operational responsibilities.

• Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, customers, and support staff.

• Experience with P&L accountability and/or contract-managed services is preferred.

• Strong management and leadership capabilities, with the ability to handle confidential employee, client, and Aramark information.

• Completion of a mandatory background check is required for all qualified candidates.
