Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business - Accounting/Finance student to join our Corporate Office in Toronto, Ontario as a Finance Intern.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in the mining industry, working closely with various departments and gaining exposure to Kinross' culture, goals, objectives, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of external financial reporting and disclosures, including the Annual Information Form, Management Information Circular, and Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility reports.
- Participate in the analysis of financial information and assist with other ad-hoc requests and analysis.
- Support the Financial Reporting and Advisory functions of the Kinross finance department.
- Currently enrolled in a Business - Accounting/Finance program at a Canadian academic institution.
- Excellent academic record.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to undertake various tasks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to learn quickly and to work well in a team environment.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
