Neurological Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist

William Osler Health System is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Outpatient Neuro Rehab team.

As an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to individuals recovering from neurological conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, empowering them to regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, including comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plans, and ongoing monitoring of progress.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, home and community care coordinators, and occupational therapy assistants to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor occupational therapy assistants, volunteers, and students, fostering their professional development.
  • Participate actively in program meetings, committees, and quality initiatives to contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of professional practice and ethical conduct as outlined by COTO.

Your Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Membership in CAOT or OSOT is preferred.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
  • Minimum five years of experience providing evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and treatment to a neurological population.
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychosocial, cognitive, perceptual, and physical health-related assessment and intervention skills addressing occupational performance.
  • Proven ability to manage a high caseload volume effectively.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
