Neuro Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist

The successful candidate will report to the Clinical Services Manager and work collaboratively with the Professional Leader to deliver exceptional occupational therapy services within a client-focused framework. As an Occupational Therapist in the Outpatient Neuro Rehabilitation program, you will be responsible for evaluating referred clients and creating tailored treatment plans that may encompass cognitive-perceptual, physical rehabilitation, and self-care strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct patient care, providing education to patients and their families while consulting with the outpatient team.
- Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, home and community care coordinators, and occupational therapy assistants.
- Oversee the work of Occupational Therapy Assistants, volunteers, and students.
- Engage in program meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives as necessary.
- Adhere to the standards of professional practice and ethical guidelines set forth by the regulatory body.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Current registration and good standing with the relevant professional college.
- Preferred membership in professional associations.
- Proficiency in English across all forms of communication.
- A minimum of five years of experience in evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and treatment for neurological conditions.
- Expertise in psychosocial, cognitive, perceptual, and physical health assessments and interventions.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of caseloads effectively.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to function effectively within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to travel between various healthcare sites as required.
This position involves day shifts with eight-hour work periods, subject to change based on operational needs.
